  III. Grammar: direct speech ,indirect speech

  IV. Teaching steps:

  1.Language study---word study

  ⑴. 1et Ss read through the exercise and make sure what they will to do.

  ⑵.get Ss to finish the exercise in page 4 individually, and check the answers in the class.

  2.Grammar---Direct Speech and Indirect Speech

  ⑴Teach Ss to find out the different between Direct Speech and Indirect Speech from the sentences in the pages 5

John said that he liked reading adventure stories.

 

I don’t like computers,” Sarah said to her friends

Sarah told her friends that she didn’t like computes.

Question

Ann, have you seen my blue notebook?” Peter asked

Peter asked Ann if she had seen his blue notebook.

 

How can you do that?” Mary said to Ann

Mary asked Ann how she could do that.

 

What difference does it make?” Peter asked Jim

Peter asked Jim what difference it made.

 

  ⑵.teach grammar in detail.

  陈述句与疑问句

  1.转述他人的叙述----陈述句

   “I don’t enjoy computers,” Mary said to her friends

  → Mary told her friends that she didn’t enjoy computers.

  2. 转述他人的疑惑---一般疑问句

  “Do you finish your homework, Jim,” Peter asked.

  → Peter asked Jim if he finished his homework.

  3. 转述他人的问题----特殊疑问句

  “How do you come to school?” Peter asked Bob

  → Peter asked Bob how he came to school.

  ⑶. let Ss finish all the exercises in the page 5-6, then check the answers with the whole class.

  ⑷. get Ss to finish all the exercises in the workbook.
