Lesson 65教案示例

  Teaching Objectives:

  掌握情态动词mustmustn't的用法;

  掌握由if, whenbefore引导的状语从句。

  Language Focus:

  1. adverbial clauses of time: when, before, after;

    When you cross the street, you must look left and right.

  2. adverbial clause of condition: if;

    If the light is yellow, you should wait.

  3. useful expressions:

  make a noise, stand in line, get on, get off.

  You must be more careful. You mustn't cross the road.

  Properties: Recorder, Pictures, Overhead projector

  Teaching Procedures:

  Step 1 Revision

  Revise asking the directions and giving the directions.

  Ask directions to different places in your town.

  Suppose your friends come to visit you, they want to visit your town. Now you show them map and read aloud the instructions for them to find some places of interest.

  Step 2  Presentation

  Draw a road on the blackboard. Say Jim wants to cross the road. First, he must stop. Then he must look carefully. Then he can cross the road. But he must walk across the road. She mustn't run!

  Say the sentence again and get the students to listen and repeat.

  Explain the meaning of the words must and mustn't.

  Then help students say these sentences:

  1. We must study hard every day.

  2. We must obey traffic rules.

  3. We must be more careful when we cross the road.

  4. We mustn't make faces in class.

  5. We mustn't throw waste out of the window.

  6. We mustn't cross the road when the light is red.

  Step 3 Read and act

  Get the students to look at the picture. Ask What does Kate want to do?

  Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat.(或利用跟读课件)

  Then have students practise the dialogue in pairs. Get some pairs to act it out.

  Step 4 Read and say

  先让学生说说他们都了解哪些交通规则,他们上学时会不会碰上交通灯,是不是遵守交通规则。

  Have students read the instructions. Then ask what you must do when the lights are green/red?

  Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat.

  Explain the word when as a conjunction.

  When the bell rings, you must come into the classroom.

  When the teacher comes in, you must stop talking.

  解释也可以把when从句放在后面,如:

  You must stop talking when the teacher comes in.

  Ask students to say some sentences with when-adverbial clause.

  When the telephone rings,

  When the teacher speaks,

  让学生讨论关于交通规则中哪些行为为 ”must”,哪些行为为 ”mustn't”

  1. We must look around when we cross the road.

  2. Cars mustn't be parked here!

  3. When the light is red, you must wait.

  4. You mustn't cross the road if the light is red.

  Step 5  Presentation

  Say If it rains tomorrow, I will stay at home. Get students to guess the meaning of if.

  Explain the usage of if-adverbial clause.

  特别提醒学生if引导的条件状语从句要注意一点:

  If is usually used with the Simple Present Tense when the main clause is in the Future Tense.

  Get the students to make sentences in the same way.

  Step 6 Practise

  Read over the parts, get the students to guess the meaning of noise and disturb, get on and get off.

  Have them work in pairs. Check the answers with the whole class.

  Part One:

  1. If you drive too fast, you may have an accident.

  2. If you make a lot of noise, you may disturb others.

  3. If there is a lot of traffic, you must wait.

  4. If the traffic light is red, you must stop.

  5. If you are not careful, a car may hit you.

  Part Two:

  1. When many passengers are waiting for a bus, you must stand in the line and wait for your turn.

  2. When you get on the bus, you must buy a ticket.

  3. When you get off the bus, you must look left and right.

  4. When you are in the UK, you have to drive on the left.

  5. Before you cross the street, you mustn't push others.

  Explain the language points:

  Step 7 Exercises in class

  根据课文内容填入适当的词:
