  Teaching Procedures:

  Step 1 Revision

Revise the parts of the body: eyes, ears, mouth, head, back, arm, foot, leg, etc.

Revise must by asking if you are ill, what must you do? Go to the hospital.

  Step 2  Leading-in

When you feel bad or sick, you had better go to the hospital, arid doctors will help you.

First the doctor will ask you some questions about illness and then he will take your temperature, finally he will ask you to take some medicine if your illness is not too serious.

  Step 3 Read and act

  让学生看书上的图,猜猜图中发生什么,并让学生尽可能描述它。

Jill didn't feel very well. She began to cough. Her mother asked her what was the matter. She told her mother she had a headache and a cough. Her mother could see how terrible the cough was. So she took her daughter to see a doctor at once.

Play the tape for the students to listen and ask Jill: ‘What's the matter with you?'

Play the tape again for the students to listen and repeat. Then let them work in pairs and ask some pairs to act it out.

Explain: What's the trouble? = What's the matter ( with sb. ) ? have a headache, take to.

播放视频take to讲解take sb. to some place短语的用法。

  播放本课的动画,首先观看Jill和妈妈谈论自己的病情,然后再接着这部分看看Jill的妈妈带她去看病生的情景,注意其中看病就医的用语。

  Step 4 Puzzle dialogue

  让学生根据前面动画后部分关于和医生看病的情景,选择正确答案填空。继续利用上面的动画,点击练习功能,进入本课对话练习,可让学生在先看的基本上,重做后部分对话选择。

  Teach the meaning of serious.

Explain the phrases take one's temperature, nothing serious, take this medicine three times a day, feel like doing, have( got) a pain in one's head.

  Doctor: What's the matter?

Jill: This morning I had a pain in my head.

Doctor: How are you feeling now?

  Jill: I'm feeling even worse.

Doctor: Let me take your temperature. It's OK. Nothing serious.

Jill: Really? But I don't feel any better now.

Doctor: Did you eat anything for breakfast?

Mother: No, She didn't feel like eating anything.

Doctor: Well, take this medicine three times a day. Have a good rest and drink more water.

  Jill: OK. Thank you.

Then get the students to practise the dialogue.

  Step 4  Presentation

  分析have to的运用.
