JEFC Book 2 Unit Lesson 104

一.   教学目的和要求Teaching aims and demands

1. 知识目标

  A.      理解和掌握下列词语: noisy, penguin, pink, shell fish, lay, pretty, toe, rub, human.

  B.      掌握下词组含义和用法: a day or two, way of doing sth., ask for two days, sick, leave, write to sb., all the time, look up, hold one’s breath, stand on one’s toes.

  C.      几种构词方法

2. 能力目标

培养学生听说读写的英语综合能力。

3.       情感目标

课文讲述了南极---企鹅的家园,让学生了解大自然, 走进大自然, 热爱大自然.

二.教学重点(Key points)

1.  复习归纳构词法

2.  学习口语中常用的bike, TV等词的正规形式.

3.  练习写请假条

4.  学习掌握有同词组的含义和用法.

三.教学难点(difficult points)

复习归纳构词法

四.教学方法(Teaching methods)

运用结构对比法,交际法,任务型等教学手段.

六. 教学过程 ( Teaching procedures)

Step 1复习句子的类型

Revise the types of sentences by calling out a sentence type and having a student give an example, i.e. Simple sentence: She was ill .etc .

Step 2 归纳构词法

SB Part 1 的处理

  1. Say Look at the sun,(Draw the sun on the Bb.)  What’s the weather like?  Help the students to answer : It’s sunny.

  Show the relationship between sun and sunny, Say: Sun is a noun and Sunny is an adjective, but they have the same part sun, So we say they belong to the same family. According these two words, can you give me more examples? Help the students to say:

    T: There are some clouds in the sky.

    S: Cloudy

    T: There’s going to be rain tomorrow.

    S: Rainy

    T: John was a loud voice . He speaks

    S: Loudly

    T: Mary write books, She is a

    S: Writer etc.

  2. Part 1 Go through the words. Make sure the students understand the terms noun, adjective, verb, adverb and compound.

  3. Put in the missing words and then read loudly together.

SB Part 2 的处理

  1 Tell the students BIKE, TV, PHONE, LAB, EXAM, PLANE are all the short form words. Ask students if they still remember their full form. Ask and answer with the class, like this :

     T: What is bike short for?

     S: Bicycle is short for bike.

     T: It means bike is another way of saying bicycle, etc .

  2.Write the words on the Bb.

          Bike=bicycle                  TV=television

          Phone=telephone               lab=laboratory

          Exam=examination             plane= airoplane

  3.Make the students to practise in pairs like this:

     A: What’s another way of saying bike?

     B: Bicycle is another way of saying bike etc.

SB Part 3 的处理

听力训练

  1.Let the Ss read Ex1 on page130

  2.Play the tape twice for Ss to write down their answers

  3.Play the tape once more to check the answers with the students. The answers are : 1.broke; 2.was reading newspaper; 3.was cooking breakfast; 4.was sleeping, woke, up; 5.was dressing herself, were talking.

SB Part 4 的处理

  1.  Let the Ss read the model note for sick leave

  2.  Students work individually writing their own note. Ask several students to read for the whole class. Give the students some help if they need.

SB Part 5 的处理

  This part is optional

  1.   Play the tape for the students. Answer the question: Where to the penguins live?

  2.   Let the student read the passage and answer ”right” or  “wrong” look at the sentences in EX.3 on page 130.

  3.   Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat

  4.   Help students learn useful words and expression.

Step 3 巩固拓展,延伸课外

  1.    Do EX.2 in workbook on P.130. Choose the right words for each blank.

  2.    Read the passage on P.131 and answer some questions.

Step 4 作业布置

  Fox EX.5 get the students to practise retelling the story from Mabel’s point of view.
