JEFC Book 2 Unit 19 Lesson 74 一、教学目标和要求 1. 知识目标 A. 学习并掌握下列新单词和词组: somewhere land pull cool anybody ourselves perhaps happily no longer missing cry get back out of lots of all by oneself B. Grammar: 学习 take和 bring的不同用法。 2. 能力目标: A. 熟练运用表示推测、判断的用语: 1)I think there is something near us. 2)Maybe it's a tiger! B. 快速、准确地理解文章, 培养学生在阅读中的理解、猜测能力。 3. 情感目标:让学生热爱动物,热爱生活,充满自信,不怕挫折。 二、教学的重点和难点:词汇和词组,和有关“推测”和“求助”的表达方式及不定代词的用法。 三、教学方法: 1. 通过挂图或书中插图及面部表情和动作教学单词,如pull, push, cry, afraid等。 2. 通过观看“金盘英语”中的有关内容,帮助学生理解文章。 四、教具: Picture Paper the VCD of the lesson from “Golden Disk” 五、教学过程: Step1 Leading-in 创设情景,激发兴趣 1. Have the Ss tell the story that they made yesterday. 2. Revise far/ farther/farthest by asking about objects around the room. 3. Draw a picture on the paper by the teacher’s words: You are on an island with many trees. The wind is blowing and you hear the sea hit the beach. There is a river on the island, some monkeys are playing near the river and drinking water. Step2 Pre-task 激活思维,迁移知识 1. Draw a house on the Bb and teach the dialogue: A: Is there anybody in the house? B: Yes, I think there’s somebody in it. C: No. I don’t think there’s anybody in it. / There’s nobody in it. 2. Show the Ss a handbag or a box and teach the following dialogue: A: Is there anything in this bag/box? B: I don’t think there’s anything in it. C: I think there’s something in it. Open the bag/box and tell the Ss if there is anything in it. 3. Explain the use of anything, anybody, something, somebody, nothing and nobody. Do the exercise: Fill in the blanks using something, anything or nothing A: Look! Can you see ______ over there? B: No, I can see ______. C: ______? Look carefully and you’ll see ______ in the trees. B: Sorry I can’t. ______ is wrong with my eyes. A: There’s ______ wrong with your eyes. Look again and you’ll see it. B: Oh, yes. ______ is moving in that big tree. It’s a yellow bird. Look at the picture on the textbook, page 22, some children are pulling a boat up from the water. Explain the new words by gesture or facial expression. E.g. happily, lots of and cry. 2. T: What do the children do on the island? Let Ss scan the passage and find the answer. 3. Listen to the tape, and think about the questions: Q1: Why did the children pull the boat out of the water? Q2: Where did they put their picnic basket? Why? Q3: Why did Kate feel a little afraid? Q4: What did the children do then? Q5: What did they see and what did they do? Q6: Who took their picnic basket away?(动作示范,区别take 和bring) 4. Let Ss discuss these questions in four for three minutes and then answer the questions. K1: Because the boat is not safe to leave it on the water. K2: They put the basket under a big tree. Because it is cool there, and the food won’t get too hot. K3: Because she can smell something, she thinks there are some dangerous animals on the island. K4: They started to walk around the island. They talked and laughed happily. K5: They saw some banana trees and they picked lots of bananas. K6: Sorry, I don’t know. / Monkeys. 5. Get the Ss to guess what happened to the children’s picnic. 6. Tell the meaning of all by ourselves, perhaps, no longer and get back to the Ss, and play the tape for the Ss to practice reading aloud. 7. Topic: What would you do if you were with the children? Step4 Check 布置作业,提升任务 1. Finish off the Exercises in the workbook, Lesson 74. 2. Write down your own story about how you help the children. 六.板书设计
