JEFC Book 2 Unit Lesson 91

教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands

 1.  知识目标

A 掌握并会运用下列词汇:pleased, T-shirt, disease, TB, million, decide, billion, lucky, unlucky, Father’s Day, plan to do sth, be pleased, millions of people, decide to do sth, give away, a lucky man.

B.理解、掌握下列日常交际用语,并能在情景中进行运用。

C.语法:冠词a, an, the 的运用。

 2.能力目标: 培养学生在具有实际意义的语境中进行听、说、读、写的能力。

 3.情感目标: 通过学习Kate和Jim兄妹俩讨论父亲节买什么礼物送父亲的对话,以及Bill Gates 捐巨款买药助贫民的感人事迹,启发学生应尊敬长辈,奉献爱心。

二.教学重点(Key points)

 1.  复习巩固冠词a, an, the的运用。

 2. 功能项目“肯定和不肯定句型”的使用。

三.教学难点(difficult points)

   冠词的运用。

四.教学方法(Teaching methods)

  创设情景,激发兴趣,循序渐进,尊重差异。

. 教学过程 ( Teaching procedures)

Step 1 复习巩固

1.Divid the class into two groups, let them ask and answer questions each other according to the story of Bill Gates in L.90. see which group can ask more and answer more correctly. (Give them three minutes to prepare).

2.Get two students to retell the story of Bill Gates.

Step 2 创设情景,导入新课

 1.Say I like holidays, we have many holidays in a year. Ask what holidays are in spring and summer?  And list the holidays on the Bb, help the students to mention Father’s Day.  

 2.Discuss Father’s Day with the class.

    In which country people celebrate Father’s Day first?

    When is Father’s Day ? Do you know?

    How do they usually celebrate Father’s Day?

Step 3 师生合作,深入新课

SB Part 1对话处理

  1.Books closed, play the tape and have the students listen carefully and answer the question:. When is Father’s Day in this dialogue?

  2.Books closed, let the student listen and repeat. Then answer another two questions.

     What are Kate and Jim discussing?

      Is Kate sure what to buy for his father?

  3.Read after the tape, then learn the following useful phrases and Drills: be pleased,plan to do sth,football T-shirt,I’m sure ---,I’m not sure if ---,I’m sure what to do etc. Then ask students to use these to make sentences.

  4.Gets the students practice reading in pairs.

    Ask some pairs to read it for the class.

SB Part 2 的处理

  1.Have the students fill in the blanks individually .

  2.Get them to check their answers with their partner.

  3.Ask two volunteers to read the passage for the class.

  4.Help students if they have some trouble in using articles.

  5.Learn some useful phrases: a disease, TB, millions of people, decide to do sth, give away, lucky—unlucky.

SB Part 3 的处理

听力训练

  1.Get the students read the passage in Exercise 1 on page111 first.

  2.Play the tape twice for the students to listen and fill in the blanks.

  3.Ask two volunteers to read the passage.

  4.Play the tape once again to check the answers with the class.

Step 4 主动探究,拓展运用

  1.Mother’s Day is coming , you want to buy a present for your mother, but you don’t know what to buy , your friend will give you some advice, make up a dialogue with your partner, asking “I’m sure---” and “I’m not sure---”

Step 5 作业布置

Write down the dialogue you make with your partner in the Exercise book.
