JEFC Book2 Unit24 Lesson93

一、教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands)

  1.知识目标:

   A.学习下列新单词和词组:painter

   B.初步掌握过去进行时的用法

  2.能力目标:培养学生听说读写的综合能力。

二、教学重点和难点(Key points and difficult points)

熟练运用过去进行时态。

三、教学方法(Teaching methods)

  1.创设情景,采用情景教学法。

  2.采用任务型教学法。

四、教学过程(Teaching procedures):

  1.热身准备,导入新课

(1)教师同学讲述Mark Twin 的情况,然后启发学生讲述其他名人的情况,教师做到学生讲完以后提问学生一些相关的问题引起学生注意认真听。

(2)教师介绍:Thank you for telling us something about some famous people in the history. Now let’s talk about these pictures.教师呈现复习动词词组的图片,请同学相互问答,教师要引导学生运用不同的疑问词或是不同的疑问句类型,比如教师可以说:I don’t like to hear “what” again. There are so many whats. Do you agree with me?当然教师的图片也应该适当体现。通过这个活动,一方面复习动词词组,另一方面也复习现在进行时。复习的动词词组如下:

draw pictures      cook a meal     play volleyball    watch TV

wash dishes        feed a cow      teach match        sell vegetables

walk along the street              drive a car        play the piano

(3)教师接着引出:If you draw very well, you will be a very good painter. A painter can draw pictures very well. His or her jib is to paint pictures. Paint means draw. 教师板书如下:

 paint + er = painter

2.自然过渡,学习课文

(1)教师介绍: Now some students are drawing pictures on the blackboard. Can you guess what they are drawing with? Yes, you are right. They are drawing with some chalk. Now please open your books and see what they are drawing. Please ask and answer in pairs.

(2)学生相互问答关于画图的情况。

(3)教师介绍:Oh, dear. What happened? It was very silent. Because their teacher came.Was the teacher angry? Let’s listen and find the answer.学生合上课本带着问题仔细听并回答:The teacher w as not angry. 教师接着问:What did  the teacher ask  Li Lei to do? 学生第二次听并找到问题的答案:He asked L i Lei to work harder if he wanted t o be a good painter.

(4)学生两人一组练习并表演对话,当然先解释下列词汇的用法:

 try to do            quite a nice elephant / a very nice elephant

n       You must work harder.

n       OK. I will.

3.巧妙讲解、攻克难点

  (1)教师讲解: Now let’s close our books. Let’s see who has the best memory. What was Han Mei doing when the teacher came in?引导学生回答: She was drawing a cat when the teacher came in? 用同样的方式询问关于Jim, Li Lei 的情况,然后板书:He was drawing an elephant w hen the teacher came in.通过询问the twins 的情况引出were drawing 并板书:They were drawing when the teacher came in.教师用中文解释这是一种新的时态“过去进行时“,基本结构是: was / were + doing.用来表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作,也就是说,过去进行时强调的是过去某一特定的时间点或时间段所正在进行的动作,往往通过上下文暗示和一定的时间状语来表示,教师举例如下:

 I was reading when my mother returned.

 She was cooking at six yesterday evening.

 They were having a picnic at this /that time last Sunday.

 The man was s leeping from 12 to 1 this noon.

4.任务布置、拓展运用

(1)让学生相互问答课文的第三部分 区别以下三句话:

  What was he drawing?        He was drawing a cat.

What was he drawing on?     He was drawing on the blackboard.

  What was he drawing with?   He was drawing with a piece of chalk.

(2) 做调查。调查同桌及其一家昨天晚上的情况,并完成下列表格:(在提问中运用到了过去进行时,这样提问: What was your father doing at 6:00 yesterday evening?)

 

Who?

At 6:00

At 7;00

At 8:00

At 9:00

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 然后请一些同学进行情况汇报,为了节约时间可以选择一个时间或一个人的情况进行汇报。

   (3)做巩固性练习

用所给动词的适当形式填空:

1.     – What __________ you __________ when the bell rang? (do)

-- I ____________ to my deskmate. (talk)

2.     The businessman __________ to his office when it rained heavily last night. (drive)

3.     Listen! Who ___________ a song so beautifully in the next room? (sing)

4.     Indira enjoys __________ her mother do the housework. (help)

    5.The baby stopped ________(cry) and __________(listen) to the radio.
