1.  复习by+交通工具的单数名词表示方式

2.  区别表示频率的副词sometimes, often, usually, always。

三.   难点 (Difficult points)

1.对交通工具的提问方式和特殊疑问句的运用和回答

2.掌握 Why not +动词原形的用法。

四.   教学方法(Teaching methods)

1.       通过呈现大量的图片,让学生在语境中学习和掌握英语。

2.       把课文处理成听力材料,有利于提高学生的听力水平

3.       以小组的形式展开活动,便于加强学生之间的合作与交流

五.   教具(teaching aids)

   挂图和录音机

六.   教学过程(Teaching procedures)

Step1 通过提问,导入新课

 1.Ask some students to give a report about the transportation.

 2.Ask the students questions one by one.

  “How do you usually come to school?”

 3.Revise sometimes, often, usually. Explain that these are adverbs of frequency. Then draw a time line as follows.

 4. Ask students, getting a show of hands for each question Who has a bike? Who rides the bike to school every day? Who sometimes rides the bike to school? In small groups, have students talk about how they come to school. Have the students say, I often/ sometimes/ usually go to school  

Step2 师生互动,由浅入深

  呈现:walk

  1.Ask one student questions “ How do you go to school?” After he answers, ask the other students “ How does he go to school?” Let them answer He goes to school

  2. Show the pictures one by one. Choose some pairs to say it out. Then ask the whole class to practise in pairs. After several minutes, let some pairs come to the teacher’s desk and practise.

 1.Listen to the tape, tell if these statements are right or wrong. Correct the wrong statements.

(   ) 2. It’s a fine day for walking today.

(   ) 3.The air today is nice and clean.

(   ) 5.Today Mr Green comes to school by bike, too.

 2.Books open! Read after the tape. Then answer the following questions.

1.              How does Mr Wu usually go to school?

2.              Does Me Wu like walking? Why?

3.              How does Mr Green often go to school?

4.              Why doesn’t Mr Green go to school by bike today?

 3. 教师适当讲解几处知识点:

1.  Walking 是动名词,意思是“行走或走路”。动名词既可以做主语,也可以做宾语。如:Reading in the sun is bad for your eyes.

2.  Why not +动词原形更常见的是用作说话人向对方提出一个建议,意思是“为什么不……”如:Why not go to the park?

3.  Morning is less formal than Good morning.

4.  The negative form of Don’t you usually come to school by bike? Shows surprise.

 4. In pairs, have students practise reading the dialogue, then ask some pairs to act.

Step 3 巩固拓展,达标反馈

SB Part 3 处理

  1.Practise the dialogue in groups of four. Then give the class a report.

  2. Divide the whole class into four groups. Give a leader of each group a form.

How many students in your group come to school by bus/bike/car or on foot?

By bike

By bus

By car

By boat

On foot

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Then let the leaders ask the group mates “How many students in your group come to school on foot?” etc.

  3. Students work out the answer from the figures on the blackboard. Then they write the answers on Wb Lesson 111,Ex.3. Ask the students to spell out the numbers in English.
