一、教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands)
1.知识目标:学习下列新单词和词组:chemistry sweep the floor
2.能力目标:培养学生听说读写的综合能力。

2.用英语表达自己的思想。

1.创设情景,采用情景教学法。
2.采用任务型教学法。
四、教学过程(Teaching procedures):
1.热身准备,导入新课
(1)教师提问关于课文the man upstairs 的故事,尽可能让学生运用新词汇进行回答。
(2)请学生运用英语讲述课文内容。
(3)教师讲述:I think the next evening the man upstairs would remember the man downstairs. They got on well with each other later on.教师结合图片讲述: One Sunday morning, the man upstairs heard the sound of children playing in the park. He looked out of the window. What did he see? What were the children and other people doing?
(4)学生两人问答如下:
A: What were the boys doing when the man upstairs looked out of his window?
B: They were playing football.
A: What was the woman near a shop doing when the man upstairs looked out of the window?
B: She was buying some fruit.
问答以后,要求学生把它写成一段文字,如:
One Sunday morning the man upstairs heard the sound of children playing in the park. He looked out of the window. He saw many people there. Some boys wer playing football happily. Two men were fishing by the lake. Near the lake, two women are reading newspapers on a chair. Look at the boats on the lake. Some people were boating. There was a small shop in the park. A man was selling fruit. A young woman was buying some fruit. Near the shop, three girls were singing and talking . How happy everyone was! I think the man upstairs also wanted to go out of the tall building and play with them.
2.自然过渡,导入课文
(1)教师介绍: Were you playing football yesterday afternoon? What were you doing yesterday afternoon? Oh, you were having lessons. What were you doing at ten yesterday? .Oh, you were having a Chinese class? Now please ask and answer about your deskmate this kind of questions in your English book.
(2)学生问答课文第一部分,教新的词汇:chemistry, sweep the floor
3. 师生合作,巩固知识
(1)做调查。 What do you usually do at 8 p.m.? What were you doing at 8 p.m. last night? 同桌间相互询问,并填完整下列表格:
